The campaign for the 2027 General Elections has officially commenced, and my boss, Senator Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole mni, CON, is seeking re-election for a second term as Senator representing Edo North Senatorial District.
Since his inauguration as Senator on June 13, 2023, and following my appointment as his Principal Aide, the Senator has consistently used the opportunities provided by his office to assist thousands of people across Edo North and beyond. His unambiguous instruction to his aides is that, we should never fail to bring to his attention, any opportunities that is known to us, which can be used to empower his constituents or attract benefits to his senatorial district.
Through his intervention, many individuals have secured employment, empowerment opportunities, public appointments, contracts, internship placements, admissions into educational institutions, NYSC postings and several other forms of assistance.
Beyond individual interventions, numerous communities across the six Local Government Areas of Edo North have also benefited from his constituency projects. These include projects aimed at improving education, healthcare, rural infrastructure, access to basic amenities and community development. While some of these projects have been completed and are already serving their intended purposes, others are currently ongoing, with additional projects approved in the budget and at various stages of planning and implementation.
Similarly, thousands of women, youths, farmers and other residents have benefited from his various trainings, skills acquisition and empowerment programmes. These initiatives have provided participants with practical skills, agricultural inputs, equipment, starter packs and other forms of support to improve their livelihoods, promote self-reliance and create economic opportunities.
Importantly, these interventions and opportunities have been extended without financial charges or personal conditions, in any form attached. They reflect Senator Oshiomhole’s belief that public office should be used to improve lives, create opportunities and make a meaningful difference in society.
NOW IS THE TIME TO DEMONSTRATE APPRECIATION AND ACKNOWLEDGE GOOD LEADERSHIP
I am therefore calling on everyone who has benefited from the interventions of Senator Adams Oshiomhole to identify with his re-election campaign and support his bid for a second term.
This is an opportunity for beneficiaries to share their personal testimonies about how his office has positively impacted their lives and communities. Indeed, if we must hold public officeholders accountable when they fail to serve the people, we must also be willing to acknowledge and appreciate those who have used their positions to make a difference.
To those who have already benefited, as well as the hundreds of people whose appointments into various federal agencies are currently being processed through his office, I encourage you to become active voices in the campaign. Let your experiences and testimonies speak for the impact of his representation.
