In his first motion on the Senate floor, Senator Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole has drawn urgent attention to the deplorable road conditions in Edo State, calling for swift and decisive action from the federal government.
The former Labour leader and current Senator representing Edo North highlighted the suffering of commuters, the economic setbacks, and the safety hazards caused by these deteriorating roads. “The people of Edo State deserve better infrastructure. These roads are lifelines for commerce, healthcare, and education. Their current state is unacceptable,” Senator Oshiomhole said.
He urged federal authorities and relevant agencies to prioritize road rehabilitation in Edo State, particularly in areas that are now nearly inaccessible due to disrepair.
This motion, the first of his tenure in the 10th National Assembly, signals Senator Oshiomhole’s commitment to practical governance that meets the day-to-day needs of his constituents and all Edo citizens.
