OPEN REBUTTAL TO A MISGUIDED CRITIC AND HIS INVISIBLE BAND OF MALCONTENTS
Written by: Engr. Adeoye D. Agbaje & Akoko-Edo Youth Vanguard for Progressive Governance
It is with a firm sense of clarity and responsibility that we respond to the poorly constructed diatribe titled “Open Letter to a Failed Senator Adams Oshiomhole”—a document riddled with inaccuracies, petty bitterness, and the shallow groanings of one lone, faceless agitator who clearly does not speak for the dignified, well-informed, and politically mature people of Edo North, and certainly not Akoko-Edo.
Let us make it unequivocally clear: His Excellency, Comrade Senator Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole, has not only met but far exceeded the expectations of the people who entrusted him with their mandate.
A NAME WRITTEN IN GOLD: TRACK RECORD OF EXCELLENCE
From the corridors of labour leadership to the executive seat of Edo State and now in the Red Chambers of the National Assembly, Comrade Oshiomhole has etched his name in gold as a fearless leader, a development champion, and a voice for the voiceless. His footprints—both in policy and physical infrastructure—remain visible across the length and breadth of Edo State.
As Governor, he brought long-forgotten communities into the fold of development, constructed world-class roads, upgraded schools, hospitals, and electrification projects—visible across Edo North, Edo Central, and Edo South. Ask any honest resident of Auchi, Jattu, Iyamho, Afuze, or even your own Akoko-Edo, and they will recount these milestones with pride.
As Senator, Oshiomhole has continued in this tradition, attracting projects, influencing federal allocations, and empowering our women and youths in unprecedented ways.
THE FACTS YOU CHOOSE TO IGNORE:
➤ Constituency Projects?
We challenge the so-called “author” of the letter, and his ghost-followers to travel through Akoko-Edo L.G.A to inspect the following:
Three Blocks of # classrooms and staff rooms with Principal’s Office 80% completed at Ojah Comprehensive School Ojah
Solar Street Lights completely installed in Ibillo.
Solar Powered Borehole constructed in Uneme-Akiosu.
Blocks of classrooms to be constructed in Anglican Grammar School Igarra. The contract is already awarded, and the contractor will move to the site next week.
Iyuku-Atte Road construction started but stopped when the same contract was awarded with a higher budget by the Ministry of Regional Development.
Major empowerment programme held in Red Roof Hotel Igarra Akoko-Edo, where laptops and cash were given to participants.
➤ Employment of Akoko-Edo Sons and Daughters.
These are the Akoko-Edo sons and daughters, His Excellency, Comrade, Oshiomhole, has given full-time federal government employment to within the Immigration, Federal Fire Service, Police Force and National Assembly Service Commission.

WHOSE MANDATE ARE YOU SPEAKING ON?
The so-called writer, “Okomayin Gomina,” styling himself as an “APC Youth Leader,” is advised to stop dragging the respected party structure into personal vendettas and attention-seeking tantrums. The APC in Edo State stands solidly behind Senator Oshiomhole, and the party hierarchy, stakeholders, and grassroots know better than to be swayed by noise without substance.
Contrary to your one-man fantasy, the people of Akoko-Edo are not disillusioned—they are grateful. They are supportive. And more importantly, they are calling for continuity come 2027 and beyond.
You may shout, tweet, or conjure hashtags all you want, but the true ballot language is understood only by the people. And when the time comes, they will speak resoundingly again in favour of leadership that works—Oshiomhole’s leadership.
FINAL WORDS TO THE CRITIC AND HIS ‘URCHINS’
To those hiding behind anonymous social media pages and phantom titles: if you seek relevance, earn it through service, not slander. Leadership is not built on empty accusations and fabricated outrage. It is built on impact, vision, consistency, and delivery—qualities Senator Oshiomhole embodies without apology.
Let it be known far and wide: Oshiomhole is not a one-term Senator—he is a lifelong servant of the people, and he serves with a mandate deeply rooted in performance and love from his people.
So before next time you pick up your pen to throw mud, remember this: you can not smear gold.
