Senator Adams Oshiomhole, representing Edo North, has congratulated the Muslim Ummah on the successful completion of the Ramadan fast. Oshiomhole prayed to God to accept the supplications made by the faithful during this year’s Ramadan and bestow renewed blessings on them and their households. In his Eid-el-Fitr message, released by his Chief of Staff, Victor Oshioke, the former Governor of Edo State said: “I rejoice with the Muslim Ummah as it has pleased Almighty Allah to see them through the holy month of Ramadan”

“The period of Ramadan fast is an opportunity to reconnect with our Creator and extend the hand of fellowship to our fellow men. However, as we celebrate the successful completion of this important tenet of Islam, we should not forget the lessons learnt, to wit: the spirit of piety, almsgiving, compassion, and love for fellow men
We remember, as always, our country at this season, and I enjoin the Ummah to continue to make supplications to Allah to heal the ills of the nation and favour us with peace and progress.”

Continuing, he said: “In Edo State, we have every cause to be thankful to Almighty Allah, as He has continued to bestow abundant mercies on us through mutual respect and coexistence among people of different faiths. Yet, we are not insensitive to the plight of those who have been victims of recent attacks in some parts of the country. We pray for Aljannah Firdaus for the souls of those who lost their lives and for the quick recovery of the injured”

“To the Muslim Ummah across our beloved country, I wish you a happy Eid-el-Fitr.
