Senator Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole has felicitated with the Governor of Edo State, His Excellency Senator Monday Okpebholo, as he marks his 56th birthday, describing his emergence as Governor at a critical juncture in the state’s history as a providential opportunity to rebuild, restore and reposition Edo State.
In a congratulatory message issued on behalf of his family and the appreciative people of Edo North Senatorial District, Oshiomhole praised the Governor for what he described as a demonstrated commitment to development, peace, security and good governance.
The former Edo State Governor noted that, within two years in office, Okpebholo’s administration has taken significant steps towards restoring public confidence and setting the state on a renewed path of development.
According to Oshiomhole, the administration’s efforts to renew critical infrastructure, restore the dignity and relevance of traditional institutions, preserve Edo’s rich cultural heritage and instil positive values in the younger generation represent important milestones in the state’s development journey.
He commended the Governor for providing leadership at a time when Edo requires purposeful governance, unity and a renewed sense of collective responsibility, expressing confidence that the administration’s focus on rebuilding and restoring the state would yield enduring benefits for its people.
Oshiomhole urged the Governor to remain steadfast in his service to Edo State and Nigeria, assuring him of his goodwill and prayers as he marks the milestone.
“Your emergence as Governor at this critical juncture of our state’s history is, indeed, a providential opportunity to rebuild, restore and reposition Edo State,” Oshiomhole said.
He thanked Almighty God for the Governor’s life, guidance and protection, and prayed for continued wisdom, strength, good health and divine grace to enable Okpebholo serve Edo State and Nigeria with greater distinction.
Oshiomhole declared his support for the Governor beyond this first tenure, and wished him many more years of productive service, fulfilment and continued impact.
